This is not an entry level 3D printer, so if you are new to the technology you will likely frustrated by this product. However if you are a Maker with RepRap experience and are seeking a mechanically solid machine with 125 micron layer build heights (and you have a fat wallet) this is a great machine. Note, this is not an open source machine so if modding is your game stick to the RepRap world. BFB 3D printers are based on additive layer manufacturing (ALM) methods. Using thermoplastics, a BFB 3D printer heats the material through the extruder (or print head). The extruder then pushes out a very fine plastic thread which is applied layer by layer according to x and y co-ordinates, building a solid, 3D object.
